Fault codes are simply a record of a fault, they do not explain what might be a cause and if it is part of a downstream error caused by a faulty component or system upstream or elsewhere.   It is important to discover and understand what is really going on and what the causes are so you avoid running up a big bill replacing parts that were not actually at fault, as you hunt down the real problem.
